Now You Can Send Google Maps Locations to Your iPhone or Android Device

Google rolled out a small but notable addition to Google Maps that will make it more convenient for you to take locations with you on the go.

With this change, you can search for locations on a desktop browser and send them straight to your Google Maps app on iPhone or Android device.
Searching for a location on your desktop browser should bring up a screen like in example below.
The new ‘Send to Device’ option will allow you to send a location to any other device that’s signed in to Google Maps with the same account.
This change makes it easier for you to take locations with you on the go.
For example — if you’re searching for a restaurant on your laptop, and later intend to look up directions to that restaurant on your phone.
To start using this feature, make sure your Google Maps app is up to date, and that you’re signed in to mobile and desktop using the same account.
